... Do we have an app store wait thread here? Where we can share our wait times for review/approval/etc? If not, this is it! ;-)

At the moment, I've got 2 updates waiting for review... one since Feb 7th ... one since Feb 9th.

(Both updates include the addition of in-app purchases and I'm wondering if anyone else has experience with those updates taking longer?)

When I started back into app devel in January, the first new app and updates were within days (updates within 24 hours). Now we're to a snail's pace... (actually, Apple should be jealous of a snail at this point.)

Anyone else care to share their current wait times?

My first wait was 7 days, the last one was 5 days. I just submitted an update with In App Purchases yesterday, so we'll see if it takes longer or not. Btw I'm jealous of your 24 hour wait times! :-)

*chuckle* I think they were leading me on with those quick wait times. I developed briefly in 2009 and the wait times were super long and there was no info about the process "back then".

Good thing I wasn't doing any apps "back then" :-) As for the in-app purchases, I probably did something wrong and they'll reject it... but we'll see. But thanks for your help with it!

Ok, so of course now that I posted this. ;-)

The app submitted Feb 7th was fully approved tonight -- all 4 in-app purchases and the app itself.

... And the App submitted on Feb 9th has moved to "In Review".

Thank goodness. :-)

Ok, so now it's a month after the last post in this thread and I'm wondering what the experiences are now? I submitted a new app on 19/3 - guess I'll be waiting until at least 26/3?

Also, the review period you guys were talking about; are those working days (as in, only counting mon-fri - making a 7 day review 9 actual days) or full 7 day week?

Just an update, today, March 28, 6 days after submitting, it moved from "Waiting for Review" to "In Review." Woot!

I think you'll find 'in review' to be quick - my game Tiltopolis moved right through almost immediately after being 'in waiting' for 6 days!

I put a release date of April 10 on my game because I wasn't sure how long it would take to finish it -- I was assuming that I could change the release date after it was approved.

Can anyone tell me if my assumption is correct, or am I doomed to wait even after it's been approved by Apple?

Yes, you can. It's in 'Manage you Applications > [app] > Rights and Pricing'

Just be sure you set it correctly as I found that the app was searchable 2 days prior to appearing in the 'Release Date' list of the category, meaning that it appeared in that list very low down from the get go. Very annoying - I was hoping it would be at position 1 for a while, simply because it was the newest!

Yep my experience of late is waiting 7 days at 'awaiting review', once it hits in-review its pretty quick.

Apple approved Match Game Magic today, March 30, after submitting it on March 22. 8 days total.

I had a future date set and so had to go change that to today, so it's not in the App Store yet but I'm hoping it will show up within a few hours.
