I'm evaluating whether to use Corona SDK for my project. I think most of what I'm trying to do is possible within the confine of the Corona SDK. However, there are two things that I'm unsure of.

_ I'm trying to crop a photo using bit mask. Is there a way for me to save only the visible part of the picture?

_ Do you support transparency for png? If I have an image with a transparent background, will its background stay transparent after I load it using the Corona SDK?

It's background will stay transparent, yes.

There is no easy way to save just a visible part of a picture, no. Sorry :(
