More info about CoronaUI

With regards to Carlos's blog post (Apr 14th) about the CoronaSDK update and in particular the new CoronaUI components.

I've been asked to help develop a native iOS app that is basically a UIListView type of app but with content delivered from a webpage (actually a set of search results).

I've been "playing" with Corona trial edition for a couple of game demos and I'm considering licencing and using Corona to do this new app. I've seen a few "fake" list controls being posted as samples in the forum and I was wondering how this new UI toolbox fits in.

Is it a library of "simulated" controls creating using display groups or is it actually (and obviously my preferred choice) an interface to actual native cocoa touch controls.

Can anyone with access to this toolbox please share some info as to what controls are actually provided and also confirm if the toolbox is also available on Windows (and or) for Android builds as well.

Thanks in advance.

Jon...

It's still under development. It will not be native Cocoa, it will be cross-platform iOS+Android. Sorry for not sharing more publicly just yet but we are working very hard to try to make it good, solid and easy to use.

So is it currently available if I subscribe now and when do you expect it to be finished?

Thanks for you help

Jon...

There is a beta available to subscribers, warts and all.
It will be finished when it is ready :)
