Need PUSH NOTIFICATIONS?

How about achievements, highscores or even control over individual app users (to, for example, send them a specific on-screen message or lock them out of your app for being jailbroken)?

NuPlay Network (NuNet for short) solves these problems!

My name is Andreas Ricci and I am the founder and lead developer of NuPlay Entertainment.

Over the past couple of months we've developed an integrated system which can interact with your apps in ways such as:

- Send Push Notifications to specific users or all users
- Collect highscores for your players to compete
- Create achievements for your games
- Log events (for analytics)
- Print on device (for debugging)
- Send the user an on screen message for advertising or other purposes
- Lock a user out of the app (for example, if his/her device is jailbroken)

And much more!

As an administrator you are able to create moderators.
This is, for example, to give other members of your development team access to viewing who's currently playing your game or which users have had an app crash.

Simply include the NuNet Client lua file in your existing app and follow the simple steps inside for utilizing all of these amazing features.

How does it all work?

Good question.

NuNet has two components: the client lua file, and the server.

The client sends the server information about the user, and the server is constantly feeding back other information (such as a push notification). If the client hears the server talking, it listens and performs the appropriate action.

That seems complicated. Is it hard to install?

Not at all.

The client is a single, well commented lua file.
The server is a mix of PHP, JavaScript, MySQL and other files, but it has an automated installer.

How does one view a user, create a new highscore list, add achievements, or send a notification?

All on the web server.
Simply login, select your app and go to town.

What if the user loses internet connectivity?

Not a problem.

NuNet stores all information locally as well.
If a user loses connectivity and does something which you've coded to log, the logs will simply stay local until connection is reestablished.

How much will this cost?

There will be three options for purchase.
Prices are yet to be determined.

Option 1 - NuPlay Hosted
Purchase this option if you'd like NuPlay Entertainment to host your web server and handle all that bandwidth stuff.

Option 2 - Self Hosted
Purchase this option if you'd like to host the server yourself. It is very simple to install, all that's needed is web hosting.

Price - TBD; one-time fee

Option 3 - Self Hosted - Full Source
Purchase this option if you'd like to host the server yourself AND you'd like to make changes to the server. Included will be a detailed guide on how the system works.

I mean't, introduce an app or two you've made - NOT send us the code!

UPDATE

We have added the ability to REWARD USERS FOR INSTALLING OTHER APPS OF YOURS!

You can, for example, send all users of one of your apps a notification saying "Download our other app and recieve XXXXX!", and if they download it (or if they already have it) they will get your custom reward (maybe an extra level or two, or premium ingame currency - whatever you program!)

Do you support both iOS and Android devices?

Yes, both devices are supported.

Also to note - we are planning on releasing a client for Unity3 and Cocos2d soon after the final release for Corona!

will game player login be automatic after setup or will they need to login each time.

Yes, game login will be automatic!

Infact if you don't wish to use features like highscores or achievements your players don't even need to login!

It uses their unique device ID for push notifications, user interaction, sending an on screen message, etc.

will the leaderboards be a pre-designed overlay or skin-able or just data that we design our own way of displaying

Leaderboards and achievements are both displayed in a web-popup.

You customize the look and feel in the server!

So to answer your question, skinnable.

Also to note, achievements are stored locally as well.
That way if a user loses internet connectivity he or she can still unlock achievements.

Once internet connectivity is re-established the achievements are sent to the server.

Also, one more important note on achievements and leaderboards.

It can work with OpenFient and GameCenter as well!

I'm in the process of redesigning the gpx and doing some optimization on my latest game so guess I'll also start making room to include ur service for when ur ready to start testing if I'm chosen as a tester

Testing will begin in the next few days.

It will be a gradual process.

The first round of tests will be for the core (Push Notifications, Specific App User functions such as banning or sending an on-screen message, printing from the device, logs, etc).

The next round will be the social aspect (leaderboards, achievements).

We're looking for 5 - 10 testers to get this thing going!

We'll choose testers when all the test servers are up and running.

I have use for the push and print and like the lockout feature. will it be all jailbroken devices or can we allow certain jailbroken devices if we wanted to

You will be able to specifically lock or unlock individual app users.

Push notifications can be sent to a specific app user, or all app users. Same goes for on-screen messages (for example, to advertise another app of yours).
