Tap games - Can they be made in Cororna?

Hello,
I am just curious if it would be possible to make games similar to TapZoo, TapResort and Smurf Village using Corona. I know that the user data is stored on a server and stored locally (when no internet connection is present). These kinds of games are more point-and-click based opposed to physics and animations. Also, is there any way to get an estimation on how long it would take to fully create one of these games using Corona?

Thanks in advance

@dacriburdan,
short answer -> YES

These are isometric games that are tile based, see my app Office Blues - EDP which is an isometric game, if you want to make, you can also try to use Lime if you do not want to write your own engine.

Estimation on time cannot be made as it also depends on various factors, like team size and how much of work is handled by the server and how much is pushed to the device, etc.

cheers,

?:)

Hey Jayantv, thanks for the reply!

Where would the best place to start be? I am fairly new to Corona but I think it will be an awesome candidate for my app and want to start out building it the right way to prevent issues in the future. I would also like to hold as much data as possible on a server while still retaining the ability to play without an active network connection. Any help is always appreciated.

Thanks,
Dacri Burdan
