Hey Carlos, any time frame on when we will be getting the 2 big announcements you mentioned? The anticipation is killing me!

REALLY REALLY REALLY looking forward to IAP and universal binaries! Thanks!

I think Windows support was one of the big announcements. Perhaps the new pricing was the other.

Retina support?

what is retina support?

likely native support for 4th gen idevices with retina screens, optimally using the @2x naming scheme on images as used by apple on UIKit to automatically choose the right assets for 480x320 screens as well as 960x480 screens

Zing!

The CoronaUI library looks amazing.

One other thing. I see that the table view is populated from XML. This is great! Are the details views also populated from the same XML too? That would be a really nice touch.

So maybe if the XML was laid out in such a way so that it denoted which fields where to be shown for the table/list view and which ones for the details.

Typically the table/list view would display an image, title and subtitle whereas the detail view would show the same image (or a different image), title, subtitle and any number of details fields.

It would be perfect if ALL this data could be held in ONE XML file and the table/list and detail views all built from it.

Sure Does! I've been hovering about going with Corona for app dev (my main interest is in productivity apps) and the UI library looks great - this will be the clincher for me if it arrives soon. BIG Please :-)

The various demos I've seen don't show how the detail view is populated.

When will this release?

I can't wait for the new UI stuff.

One question though: In the second video, cross platform is stressed but it never shows the UI on anything but the iPhone simulator. Would have been nice to see the Android side. Will they look the same (i.e. like iPhone UI elements) or will it use Android-specific UI elements?

Hello..
Any news about the release date of the new UI?
We really need it for a project in progress....
Any news.. please please...

I will buy a licence next week.. btw...

B

CoronaUI should be rolling out in a few. Delayed due to bugs. First released to our Subscribers.

few days, weeks or months?

Rolling dice.....

We have a bug. A show stopper. When that is fixed. We will roll it out. Could be this afternoon, could be two weeks. Could be 30 seconds.

Any word on when MapView for android will be available?

It's really kind of a key feature of android.

Hello,

I have recently purchased corona SDK licence for ios & android. I am planning to use it on my home & office computers. So is it possible to use the same login details at both locations?

I don't have any problems in deauthorize/reauthorize machine. I just wanted to know that is it possible to use same login details on more than one computer.

Thanks
Devon.

Assuming you remember to deauthorise before going home etc you'll be fine using both.

the corona subscription license allows you install it on two computers. so yes, you can log in from office and home using the same credentials without having to de-authorize.

Any news on MapView for android? Would love to have an ETA on that as it's potentially a deal breaker...

There were no answers to the mapview for Android questions.

Any ideas on mapview for Android?

Thanks.
