Creating UI components with Vector Shapes

I am starting a port of Keith Peters Minimalcomps http://www.minimalcomps.com/?page_id=5. Right away I am finding that vector shapes in corona look kind of shitty. See the following radio button I created http://grab.by/bsqu

Vector Shapes seem pretty limiting right now. Would it be best to replace with images? I was thinking of adding logic to allow for skinning anyway, but just for my knowledge is this the limit for vectors. Seems like the smaller the shape the more pixelated it gets.

Are you testing on the phone or an emulator? The Emulator is not a good visual example of what you'll see. In fact, Widgets for example look great in the emulator, but bad on some Android phones. The reverse is true for vectors on higher resolution devices.

Run on one of your phones and post a screen shot to compare.

Kind of what I thought. Plus I can't really get dropshadows and stuff like in flash so I may port some of this to actual PNG files anyway. Would like to add the ability to skin stuff by pointing the components to a assets directory or something.

I started a github project around this if anyone wants to jump in and help https://github.com/matthewswallace/minimalcomps-coronasdk
