2011.681 "Android: Added Nook and KindleFire support to build scripts."
Do we need to change/add anything to build.settings or simply re-building with 681 is enough to be compatible with those devices?
Also, while talking about build.settings for Android... Any updates on this?
2011.655 "Android: Added new AndroidManifest.xml customization features to the build.settings file. To be documented and announced later."
Thx!
Will we get the Kindle Fire and Nook Simulators too?
( Maybe they are already there.. i didn't look into the last build)
They have 7" like the Galaxy Tab.
( but it would be nice to have the device optics )
Yes, good questions.
And could someone from Ansca comment on how this relates to other open threads regarding Nook development and a "Nook SDK" discussed back in the Spring?
I loaded 681 also ready for nook builds, and it gives the same android 2.2 (only) options as before...
+1 on tell us how to pull the trigger!
+1
I also want to know the changes available that we have more control over the manifest.xml file.
And.. We just pre-ordered a couple of Kindle Fire's so we can ramp up our efforts with that device... So what does 681 let us do that the other builds did not?
+1 Info needed... maybe this is the "secret feature" from a couple builds back.
While waiting for an input...
I've tested a build and it looks like Android installLocation="preferExternal" directive in build.settings is not working anymore... Location is set to "auto" in all cases...
@mattchapman I think it's more related to in-app purchases... :)
