Tuner delay Issue

I have posted this as a bug report. I have also searched the site for info, but can't find anything related to my problem. I find it a bit strange that no one else has noticed the problem.

The bug report is as folliowing (please read my question on the end)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
MacBook - Corona Version 2012.738 (2012.12.8)

Tested on iPhone, Simulator, Android. The "Simple Tuner" Example is a good example to recreate the bug. Tried with singing, guitar and sounds on my piano.

Issue: There is a delay on severel seconds before the tuner can read the correct frequency, it seems to wander with random readouts before it stabilize. This maked it unusable for guitar and piano and other sounds with shorter sustain.

If you compare with other tuners like "Cleartune" or "Peterson Strobosoft", there is an instant recognotion of the pitch
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Is this simply a bug, limitation of the freq readout, hardware issue or the nature of how sound works? I'd like to have a stable readout, and wonder if I can implement a algorithm for getting the first second stable, i.e do a average readout, filtering out random error pitch/peaks etc..

I really need this to work, and I am considering using other tools, but if it can be done in Corona, it's the best solution.

I'm also stuck with the HUGE tunner delay bug (http://developer.anscamobile.com/forum/2012/02/09/sound-recording-delay).
Did you manage to get it to work more accurate?
