I have an app that has a lot of video and hi resolution images. The app size on the iphone/ipad is over 300mb. So I spend all of this time developing for the Android only to finally try to upload it to the Android Market and find that they have a limit of 50MB for the final apk file. I'm shattered.

I read online that back in May/June Android announced they were allowing 4GB apk files, but everyone on any other forum online that asks when that goes into place is left listening to crickets or sent links to the original announcement or articles about the increase. Do you guys have an inside track to the Android marketplace devs to find out when that limit will be increased?

One site mentioned that it may involve having still a 50mb apk file with some secondary resource file, but I haven't found anything that describes how to do this. Any help would be appreciated.
