Launch game from hyperlink in email

One of the games I have downloaded (Ninja Jump) has a feature at the end of the game that allows you to email a score. This email also includes a hyperlink to launch the game on your phone if you have it.

Any idea how they are launching the game from a hyperlink in an email?
