Playing video without black before playing

I'm trying to create a seamless transition between video & interface animation (ipad only). But when I play a video it shows a black screen for a while. Is there a way to work around this?

is the video on the device or on the web?

Everything is local

i would put in a feature request for an event.start or whatever. basically a notification event to say the video has begun playing.

Any news on this particular bug with corona? I too would love to do the same thing.
